Built in the 19th century, these factories were among the most successful in Georgia and were one of the main suppliers of products to the Confederacy during the Civil War. A 9-meter dam and a row of mills were built to supply energy to the mills. Primrose Cottage was the first permanent home in the Roswell colony, built for Roswell's widowed daughter King.
