Roswell is a city in northern Fulton County, Georgia, United States. Roswell, a suburb near Atlanta, has a thriving historic district. During the summer months, Roswell hosts what is called Alive in Roswell, which is a free festival held on the third Thursday of the month from April to October. On the west side are the main retail stores along Crossville Rd.
Plus, for everyday shopping at places like Target, Chik-Fil-A, or Home Depot, West Roswell is better than East Roswell. The downside of west Roswell is that it generally takes longer to get to highways and to get to work, and getting to other areas of Atlanta takes longer from west Roswell. With a population of 92,530 people and 29 constituent neighborhoods, Roswell is the ninth largest community in Georgia. Not only are home prices in Roswell among the most expensive in Georgia, but Roswell real estate is also consistently among the most expensive in the United States.
As a foodie, I must say that East and West of Roswell have excellent restaurants, but not the various options available in downtown Roswell and especially not within walking distance of each other. If you live in Roswell and travel to work, there's a good chance you'll have to take the Georgia 400, which leaves in the morning and afternoon. For shopping, I prefer to go downtown and then east to Roswell and the last place west of Roswell. The east side of Roswell is composed mainly of subdivisions and has two large and well-known country club communities with 26% golf: the Country Club of Roswell (Willow Springs) and the Horseshoe Bend Country Club.
Before going too far, I want to dedicate just a minute to downtown Roswell, as it's one of the most modern downtown areas in Georgia. But when it comes to enjoying the outdoors, I have to say that there's a tie between East Roswell, with access to Big Creek, and the proximity to Chattahoochee parks and downtown Roswell.
