The Together Roswell Community Engagement Program has Concluded. Beginning the Summer of 2019, the City of Roswell began a process to develop its first city-wide strategic plan. To inform and guide the direction of this plan, a transparent and inclusive effort to engage those who care about the future of Roswell was initiated. More than 2,000 people participated in this first round of engagement, combining to contribute thousands of comments and ideas.  All input has been objectively recorded, databased, categorized, and analyzed by the planning team. This input serves as the foundation for the community’s vision, contributes to the plan’s goals, inspires specific actions (like a new project, policy, or program), and sets the course for implementation.

The second phase, the Planning Phase, focused on summarizing goals and priorities, drafting and revising the strategic plan until finalization, and finally, plan adoption and implementation. As a result, the Strategic Plan has eight goals that address transportation, economic development, city services, collaboration and community engagement, safety, governance and organizational excellence, community growth and quality of life. Accompanying the goals are key objectives and success measures. The next step: a separate Implementation Action Plan will be prepared to guide progress in achieving each goal.
